Job Position – GL Accountant

Are you detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about numbers?
The ideal candidate will have solid experience in general accounting and excellent Excel skills to manage and analyze financial data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
- Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Use advanced Excel functions to analyze financial data and create reports.
- Periodic reconciliation of GL ledgers and sub ledgers.
- Prepare a checklist of monthly accrual and amortization expenses.
- Ensure proper posting of entries in the right GL of respective departments.
- Ensure timely payment and replenishment utilities and Government related accounts.
- Prepare correspondence accounts entries related to employee payroll and benefits.
Experience & Educational Qualifications required:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certification in Accounting will be an added advantage (CMA / CPA).
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a General Ledger accountant.
- In-depth knowledge of accruals, reconciliation, and period end closing process.
- Working knowledge of ERP platforms such as SAP or Oracle.
- Working knowledge of Infor M3 will be an added advantage.
- Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel.
- Attention to detail with high level of accuracy.
- Strong Communication Skills in English, Arabic will be an added advantage.
